The Last Days of Judas Iscariot
Arts Ed Theatre, London
Written by Stephen Adly Guirgis
The dramatic staging of a deconstructed explosive world allowed the actors to explore the play on a stage in a traverse configuration. Splintered 'walls' jutted into the space to create multiple entrances and exits and poignant lighting shards. Characters that derived from this highly charged world were dressed in the same visually treated way, in contrast to the 'real' and 'plain' costumes.
