The Voice
The Wellcome Collection
An evening of talks, activities and performance, celebrating the extraordinary beauty of this everyday instrument, the Voice. Dotted around the Wellcome cafe and reading rooms, a variety of tin can telephone stations were designed for the public to interact with.
Participants included neuroscientist Professor Sophie Scott, speech technologist Roger K Moore, composer Sarah Angliss, artist Mikhail Karikis, the Wellcome Trust staff choir, neuroscientist Sam Clarke, itinerant writer Jonathan P Watts, radio collective In the Dark, set designer Cecilia Carey, artists Townley and Bradby, Charlie the parrot and his handler, poets Holly Pester and Daniel Rourke.
